ABOUT US:

Alaska Portable Headquarters, Housing & Logistics Services

is an Alaska Woman Owned Small Business
- registered with SAM. A subsidiary of Ebert-Spanjer, Inc. we’re located just outside the city limits of  Fairbanks, Alaska and only 7 minutes from Fairbanks International Airport. Our location is unique in that we’re on the edge of an active private small aircraft float pond and gravel runway airstrip. With 2 decades in the business we hope you’ll “Give us a chance to say Yes!” to your remote jobsite logistic needs.

We provide mobile facilities and infrastructure. Whether it’s office space, bunk facilities, bath and/or kitchen setup or just a motorhome to check out your multiple areas of responsibility -  for  building contractors, project managers, and government agencies. Our government clients have included FEMA (Eagle Reconstruction) AK Power & Telephone (Eagle Reconstruction), Alaska State Troopers (various including Arctic Man), Bureau of Land Management (various including Dalton Hwy research), Alaska Dept of Transportation (various including Dalton Hwy research), AK Fire Service - Smoke Jumpers (respite after fighting fires based at Ft. Wainwright), AK Dept of Fish & Game, AK Dept of Geological & Geophysical Surveys, The National Park Service, and many more.

We are happy to help our community and have provided use of our units to Non-Profit organizations, local races, and native tribe gatherings for use as Security and First Aid Stations: US Army Recruiters, Tanana Valley State Fair (“Green Room” & “First Aid” facilities), Yukon Quest support, Midnight Sun Intertribal POW WOW Council, and World Eskimo—Indian Olympics.

Here’s a list of our KEY PEOPLE at AKPHQ

Suzanne Spanjer, CEO & Owner has a wide ranging background with many years in administrative & personnel management, hands on personal residential construction, supply support for newspaper production, insurance administration and sales. She owns and operates several businesses out of the same convenient location at Chena Marina.  She served on the Chena Marina Road Service Commission.  Suzanne has a personal commitment to personalized service.  Her personal motto is “God’s in Charge”.

Bill Wileman, Chief Operating Officer is a retired Master Sergeant in the Air Force, specializing in linguistics.  After retirement from a long international tour of duty in the military, he worked for decades in the RV Park business.  He is now deeply involved with all facets of the AKPHQ logistics.  He works tirelessly 7 days a week in “season” to fulfill the “Right thing, Right place, Right time” motto.  Bill and Suzanne have been engaged for some time.  They’re waiting for the real retirement and a long trip to Australia to tie the knot.

Debbie Hawks, Administrative Assistant is the heart and soul of all things at our Chena Marina operations.  She has decades in the RV Park business as well, and can put more into an hour than most people can cram into a day.  She has a very active family life and they (Phillip, Jessica, Sarah and Phillip Jr.) also help in the Chena Marina operations when time permits.  In the off “season”, Debbie works with special needs children in the North Star Borough school system.  God is her personal guide.  She has a GIANT heart!

John “Hutch” Hutchinson – Special Projects.  ”Hutch” is a long time friend and neighbor. He is Master of all things Atco, plumbing, water and sewer.  His reputation for single handedly moving buildings in the greater Fairbanks community is legendary.  He is also our unofficial “Mayor” in our Chena Marina Float Plane Pond and Runway Area.  Hutch is our official “Friend with Tractor”. He and wife Debbie don’t know how to say “no” when asked to help. We’re all so very thankful!
